Energy Efficient Glass
Energy Save are pleased to announce the introduction of a new Energy Saving Service.
Energy Save will now be able to replace your older inefficient windows panes, with brand new energy saving energy efficient glass.
About energy efficient glass
With ever increasing energy bills it is important to ensure your home is as energy efficient as possible. By upgrading your windows to ones with energy efficient glass you can significantly reduce the cost for heating your home.
A staggering 26% of all domestic heat loss escapes through windows*. Choosing new windows with energy efficient glass will reduce the energy consumption when compared with standard window glass and frames, whilst also reducing your heating bills.
The new generation of energy saving glass has advanced coating technology that reflects radiated heat back into the room, rather than allowing it to escape through the windows, whilst allowing free heat and light from the sun to pass through the glass.
This means your home will be warmer and heating bills lower compared to standard double glazed windows. By insisting on energy efficient glass when speaking to your installer you can be confident you will reduce your energy bills.
By using energy efficient glass in your windows your installer will be able to provide you with A rated windows using the frame of your choice, for about the same costs as standard glazed, less energy efficient, windows.
If you are planning to replace your existing single or double glazed windows, and want the best possible solution to saving energy, ask your installer for energy efficient glass.
Insist on energy efficient glass for the most energy efficient window glass, a warmer home and lower energy bills.**
** 22% savings are typical but each home will vary. Example is for a semi-detached, 3 bedroom UK home saving £179 per annum for an A rated window (source Glass & Glazing Federation and Energy Saving Trust) with an annual gas bill of £800 (source: Department of Energy and Climate Change).
Energy Efficient Glass - At a Glance
Free Solar Heat Gain:
Energy efficient glass uses advanced coating technology to capture warmth from natural daylight to help heat the home.
The advanced coating reflects heat back into the room, meaning less energy is needed to heat the home to the desired temperature.
Haze & Tint Free Windows
Energy efficient glass maximises the amount of natural light into the home, without the haze or tint effects associated with some older double glazed windows.
